Bee Sweet Berry Farm

Hi, thank you for looking at our website.  We are Ron and Judi Grennier, owners of Bee Sweet Berry Farm.  We grow and sell raspberries, blueberries and blackberries.  We pre-pick the raspberries, but the blueberries and blackberries are self pick or we would be glad to pick for you.

We planted our first blueberries in 2006.  The first 2 years the flower blossom has to to be picked from the plant so we had no berries until 2009.  We had a small crop last year, but this year the berries are plentiful. With optimal weather conditions, the raspberries produce a crop in the summer and early fall.  They have thorns and are very fragile, so we pick them ourselves.  They are packaged in pint containers. The blackberries are thornless and are trained vertically on trellis wires.  They are large and juicy with plenty of flavor! 

We have always loved growing plants and that turned into a hobby which then grew into a business.   Growing up in families that relied on foods canned or frozen for later use, we enjoyed the health benefits and taste of fresh fruit and thought growing berries would be a good fit. The area we have dedicated to berries is flat and easy to walk.  Rows are evenly spaced kept mowed in between.  Our little red building provides a comfortable place to get a bucket for picking, or to sit on the porch.

The University of Tennessee has a wide variety of people who provided limitless information through all phases from planning to production.  They provide ongoing information through classes and seminars and remain a resource for answering questions. We are in a constant state of learning.  The process of planting and watching the plants flower and bear fruit is amazing.  We are proud to be able to share our farm with you.  Hope to see you this summer.
